After being forced to punt for only the sixth time all season, visiting Santa Margarita caught a break when the punt was muffed and the Eagles recovered the fumble at their own 46-yard line.

However, Santa Margarita was unable to capitalize when John McGrory left a 33-yard field goal attempt short. The Eagles still lead, 20-15, but Orange Lutheran will take over at its own 20 midway through the fourth quarter.
