Early Saturday morning, Reseda Coach Alonso Arreola was headed for a doughnut shop to place an order for five dozen boxes of the sweet stuff to reward his players for their performance in a 37-14 Valley Mission League victory over Granada Hills Kennedy.

‘We’re playing good football,’ Arreola said. ‘I’m really proud of the kids.’

Reseda is 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the Valley Mission League. Marquis Madison rushed for 157 yards and Chris Walker caught touchdown passes of 52 and 25 yards.

Arreola has been a dedicated, hard-working coach who plays the kids who show up, so good for him and the Regents.
