It’s the era of the kicker in high school football. The long field goals keep coming and coming.

Mohammad Rocknipour, who grew up in Iran and was a youth soccer standout, kicked a 57-yard field goal for Canyon Country Canyon against Goleta Dos Pueblos. The Cowboys are 5-0.

Matt Goudis, one of the top kicking prospects in Southern California from West Hills Chaminade, kicked a 54-yard field goal against Sherman Oaks Notre Dame. The Eagles won, 31-27, and are 5-0.

Conrad Ukropina of Los Angeles Loyola, a junior, made a 47-yard field goal against Valencia. The Cubs won, 39-24.
