Football: Mater Dei linebacker still in limbo

Linebacker Todd Hunt, who transferred from Connecticut to Santa Ana Mater Dei but was denied eligibility, has an appeal hearing scheduled for Oct. 12. His lawyer has been trying to expedite that hearing, but the CIF appears to be holding firm.

Kudos to "Just a Fan" comments. Completely agree with the assessment of the CIF being a joke led by their main Jester Staunton.

brian ...clearly you know nothing about this situation or mater dei. frankly, you sound like a bitter alumni who probably wasn't good enough to play at md so therefore, any transfer is unfair in your eyes ...... do some research on this situation before you make a blanket, ignorant comment like that ...... of all the transfer and hardship approvals approved by cif in orange county this season ........ and there have been plenty........this is by far the most deserving of approval. cif is a joke and i hope the attorneys that have generously donated their time to support this kid teach them a lesson. good luck todd hunt.

Hefe

Stop wasting our time, CIF.

Everyone knows you guys are gonna bend to the Hunt's laywer & this kid will be playing before league is over.

Good for the CIF. MD has a horrible reputation of recruiting students far from SoCal, taking spots from a local students desperate for a better education. Hunt's only motivation is football, not education. He should have stayed home. If you think I'm overly critical, I saw it first hand. I am an alumnus.
