Who would have thought that in week seven, Hollywood (6-0) and Reseda (6-0) would be facing each other in a battle of unbeaten teams on Friday night in a nonleague game at Reseda?

It’s a celebration in the City Section of two programs on the rise thanks to hard-working young head coaches who worked with the players who showed up, taught them fundamentals and now are being rewarded.

Each school’s student body should be excited. Hollywood, under Coach Ceasar Sandoval, has a chance to win the Southern League. Hollywood hasn’t won a league title in 32 years. In 1978, the Sheiks won the East Valley League title.

Reseda is moving in position to win the Valley Mission League title under Coach Alonso Arreola.

Are they ready to take on Crenshaw, Dorsey, Carson and Taft?
