Football: It’s official _ East L.A. College will be site for City finals

After two scheduled meetings with Coliseum officials the last two weeks were canceled, City Section administrator John Aguirre said Thursday that East Los Angeles College will be the site for the City Division I and Division II championship football games.

The Division II final will be held on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. The Division I championship will be held on Friday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. There also will be an All-City band competition at East L.A. College on Dec. 11.

The Coliseum had been the venue for the championship football games but the City Section will save thousands of dollars moving to East L.A. College.
