Football: Chaminade is cleanest 6-0 team in California
West Hills Chaminade sure takes its dress code seriously. Defensive lineman Jason Franklin got stuck with 30 minutes of detention on Tuesday because he had a little facial hair growing under his chin.
That's a no-no. According to the Chaminade dress code, "Boys are to be clean shaven with no beards or mustaches."
But how are football players supposed to look mean and nasty if they can't have a little facial hair? The Eagles are 6-0 going into their Mission League game against St. Francis on Friday.
At least standout linebacker Sam Mercer won't have any problem with detention.
"I don't have enough facial hair to be caught," he said.

Chaminade is looking really good. Very Sound football team that gets after it in all facets of the game.
There matchup with Serra is looking to become a showdown of undefeated Mission League teams. Prep Football gotta love it

Sorry Mission, Chaminade was not in the Pac-5 last year. The Serra League(BA, Crespi, Loyola and ND.)Div. 1 and the Mission League(Alemany, Chaminade, St. Francis and St. Paul.) Div. 3. came to an agreement to play two teams in 2008 and then the other two teams in 2009. Then with rescheduling, Alemany came into the Serra League in 2010.

Ok people are we forgetting the Chaminade was in the SERRA Division 1 last year with Crespi, Loyola, Amat??? Now there playing Division 3. Chaminade is suppose to win a lower bracket it would be sad if they lose to D3 TEAMS.
Lets Move Serra to D1 ANS MOVE aLEMANY TO D3 Again.

l.a. teams are as follows-speedy-average sized to occasional big man-not very smart-not very well coached. With that being said, Chaminade would run through city section with no problem, just look at the teams they have beaten already, if they have a good showing against Serra then people will start to believe...

Nice story. Growing program. Getting better. But c'mon, Top 25 in LA? Not a chance.
