Everyone seemingly wanted to remove Calabasas from the Marmonte League. After all, the Coyotes hadn’t won a league game since 2002.

So the Coyotes have to be beaming after defeating Simi Valley, 33-7, on Friday. Quarterback Kyle Zion passed for 202 yards and two touchdowns.

It was a big win for Coach Larry Edwards, who retired from coaching and came back last season trying to get the Coyotes competitive.
