Baseball: Moustakas, Pettis, Stowell receive honors

The Professional Baseball Scouts of Southern California will be honoring the top minor league players from Southern California at a dinner on Nov. 6 at Angel Stadium, and the players are well known locally.

The first-year pitcher of the year is former Woodland Hills El Camino Real and UC Irvine pitcher Eric Pettis.

The minor league player of the year is former Chatsworth infielder Mike Moustakas. The minor league pitcher of the year is former La Habra and UC Irvine pitcher Bryce Stowell.
