Baseball: Max Fried picks UCLA

Junior pitcher Max Fried from Van Nuys Montclair Prep announced Friday that he has committed to UCLA. Fried, a left-hander, has one of the best curveballs in Southern California.

He made a favorable impression in the Area Code Games and will be a key player in trying to help the Mounties win a Southern Section championship this spring.
