Former Sherman Oaks Notre Dame receiver James Flynn, who caught 10 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns as a freshman last season at Lehigh, has given up the sport and transferred to UC Santa Barbara, where he’ll try to become a track standout.

Flynn was also a talented 400-meter runner at Notre Dame.
