Football: St. Bonaventure trying to figure out what happened
Ventura St. Bonaventure is still feeling the effects of blowing a 19-0 lead and losing in overtime to Westlake Village Oaks Christian, 33-32.
"I wasn't very nice on Saturday," Coach Todd Therrien said. "I was nicer today."
The Seraphs missed two conversion kicks, which means Therrien has fired one kicker and replaced him with another. But there were other issues, such as players being unable to catch easy interceptions or recover an onside kick.
"I've never been part of a loss like that," he said. "We work on kicking. We work on onside kicks. We just couldn't make a play."
Instead of asking his players to forget what happened, Therrien told his players, "I hope you don't let it go. It's got to be an ulcer in our stomach."
