Football: Servite defeats Edison, 16-9

Sean DeRosa rushed for 151 yards and Connor Loftus made field goals from 52, 40 and 30 yards to help Anaheim Servite defeat Huntington Beach Edison, 16-9. Butch Pauu and Karlton Dennis each had interceptions.

Edison lost quarterback Chase Favreau to an ankle injury and he didn’t play in the second half.

Alemany defeated Woodland Hills Taft, 36-26. Sherman Oaks Notre Dame got its first win of the season with a 38-6 victory over Birmingham. Tru Jarvis rushed for 202 yards and four touchdowns in Chaminade’s 42-13 win over Fairfax. Encino Crespi routed Chula Vista, 52-6.

Justin Lewis passed for six touchdowns in L.A. Jordan’s 36-12 win over Washington. South East defeated Gardena, 21-6, with Robert Lewis rushing for 130 yards in 10 carries. He also scored two touchdowns. Allen Hall had three sacks.

Santa Margarita set up a showdown with Los Alamitos for next Saturday after defeating Anaheim Canyon, 63-10.
