Football: Rankins puts Narbonne back in front

September 17, 2010 |  8:20 pm

Noel Rankins is having a big first half for Harbor City Narbonne.

The senior tailback broke through the line and dashed 80 yards for a touchdown on the Gauchos' first play from scrimmage after Long Beach Poly had tied the game, 14-14, on a kickoff return.

The extra point was no good, but Narbonne is back on top, 20-14, with 6:01 left in the first half.

Rankins has already rushed for one touchdown and thrown for another.
