After a scoreless first quarter, both Harbor City Narbonne and Long Beach Poly got their offenses in gear, combining for five touchdowns in less than six minutes early in the second quarter.

Narbonne is ahead 20-14 at halftime, largely because of huge plays by senior running back Noel Rankins, who has 148 yards and one touchdown in nine carries. He also opened the scoring with a 27-yard touchdown to Arlandus Richardson on a halfback option.

Keltain Malveaux is leading Poly with 82 yards in nine carries, including a 45-yard touchdown run. Receiver Randall Goforth has four catches for 28 yards and has scored on a 80-yard kickoff return.
