Football: Mission Viejo will receive opening kickoff

The captains have met at midfield and Mission Viejo will receive the opening kickoff in tonight’s nonleague showdown against host Long Beach Poly at Veterans Stadium.

The Diablos, ranked No. 1 in the Southland by The Times, won the coin toss and elected to receive. Poly, ranked No. 13 by The Times, will kick off to start the game.
