Mission Viejo marched 89 yards in eight plays on the opening drive of the game, scoring on a four-yard run by Dallas Kessman. The extra point kick by Zachary Christensen gave the Diablos a 7-0 lead over Long Beach Poly with 8:45 left in the first quarter.
