Football: Mission Viejo increases lead to 20-0

September 24, 2010 |  8:07 pm

Mission Viejo is looking unstoppable in the early going of tonight's nonleague showdown against host Long Beach Poly at Veterans Stadium.

The Diablos marched 79 yards in 12 plays on their third possession, scoring on Dallas Kessman's two-yard run. However, Misson Viejo players got a little too exuberant and they were flagged 15 yards for excessive celebration. As a result, Zachary Christensen missed the 35-yard extra point attempt.

That's about the only thing that has gone right so far for Poly, which trails 20-0 with 8:25 left in the second quarter.
