Football: Lightning halts game

A football game between Riverside La Sierra and Moreno Valley Canyon Springs was halted Thursday night because of several lightning strikes, according to the Riverside Press-Enterprise.
La Sierra was winning, 9-7, when the game was stopped with 8:12 left in the third quarter.
UPDATE: The game will be completed Saturday, beginning at 4 p.m., at Riverside Norte Vista.
