Junior offensive lineman Jordan Simmons, a transfer from Dorsey, finally made his debut for Encino Crespi on Friday after being sidelined the first three games because of a sprained ankle.

Coach Jon Mack said Simmons played well in the Celts’ 52-6 victory over Chula Vista.

‘He was a big help,’ Mack said.

Crespi (3-1) will learn a little more about its ability next Friday with a road game against Vista Murrieta (3-0), ranked No. 9 by The Times.
