Football: Jacob Smith is eligible at Granada Hills

Granada Hills’ football team just got a lot better after the City Section granted a hardship waiver to junior running back Jacob Smith, making him eligible to play in Friday’s game against Sun Valley Poly.

Smith was a top running back last season at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame as a sophomore and was considered one of the fastest players on the team. He transferred in the spring to Canyon Country Canyon, then enrolled at Granada Hills this fall.
