Football: Get ready for USC-UCLA recruiting rivalry

Get your fingers loosened up and your computers turned on, because the Internet recruiting services are going to have a big night on Saturday telling all their crazed fans which recruits decided to attend the USC and UCLA football games that are being held on the same night at the same time.

USC is playing Virginia at the Coliseum. UCLA is playing Stanford at the Rose Bowl. Both are at 7:30 p.m. Do you think there could be a rivalry to see which top recruits decide to attend their game?

If I’m a recruit and don’t want to upset either school, I’d try to attend both games.

Meanwhile, USC and UCLA fans will have their binoculars out hoping to see a De’Anthony Thomas sighting. The Crenshaw running back-defensive back is committed to USC, though the Bruins haven’t given up hope.
