Administrators at North Hollywood and Los Angeles University sent in their written versions of why a scheduled football game between the two schools had to be canceled last week, but the City Section rules committee was unable to determine whether one or both schools were a fault because each side has a different story, according to City Section Commissioner Barbara Fiege.

The rules committee will meet again on Oct. 26 after the schools have a chance to read each other’s versions and respond.

The nonleague game was originally scheduled for last Friday, then had to be changed because of a furlough day, and that’s when the confusion begins. North Hollywood scheduled it for Saturday afternoon, and University did not want to travel to the San Fernando Valley on a Saturday afternoon.
