There will be a slight delay in erecting the new $250,000 scoreboard at Encino Crespi. It appears that Crespi’s receivers have better hands than the crane that was trying to lift the new scoreboard, because it had a ‘hard landing’ when the crane tried to lift it, according to school spokesman Paul Rawate.

The school will get a bigger crane, because the scoreboard is ‘huge,’ Coach Jon Mack said.

It needs to be working well because the ‘Air Mack’ passing attack set a school record last week in a 34-33 win over Clovis West.
