Boys’ basketball: Top young players selected for USA camp

Four top high school young players from Southern California have been selected to participate Oc. 9-10 at the USA Basketball Men’s Developmental National Team Mini-Camp for 14- and 15-year-olds in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Among the players are Parker Cartwright from Los Angeles Loyola, Shaqquan Aaron and Stanley Johnson from Santa Ana Mater Dei and Eric Cooper from La Verne Lutheran. All are freshmen except for Cooper, a sophomore.
