Softball: Local players help U.S. team win gold medal

The U.S. women’s junior national softball team won the gold medal at the III Pan American Championship in Bogota, Colombia, defeating Canada, 3-1.

Lauren Chamberlain from Lake Forest El Toro had a single and double. Hallie Wilson from Tustin had a triple. Madison Shipman from Valencia had a single.
