West Covina South Hills has stirred up a storm by challenging the motivation of several football players who left school and transferred.

Under new rules, students can’t transfer for athletically-motivated reasons, and when a school complains, the Southern Section usually steps in.

It’s getting nasty out there, but parents and others had better understand the rules and the consequences.
