Everyone knows about De’Anthony Thomas, Crenshaw’s fabulous running back. But the City Section is blessed with two outstanding senior running backs named Thomas.

The other is Malcolm Thomas, a four-year starter at Panorama High who rushed for 1,806 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior. He has gained 15 pounds of muscle, putting him at 5 feet 9, 198 pounds.

He had four games last season of 200 yards or more rushing.

“He has set the tone for what we’d like to embody at Panorama,” Coach Devon Rose said. “He’s a phenomenal athlete, one of the best in the City. He’s also the hardest working kid I’ve ever coached.”

Thomas also is one of the most loyal athletes. Every year since his freshman year, schools or individuals have tried to lure him away from Panorama and he refused, sticking with the school right down from where he lives and staying loyal to friends and teammates he has grown up with.

So get ready for the Thomas & Thomas show in 2010.
