Football: It's Wednesday night lights for City Section

Several City Section teams begin their season on Wednesday because Friday is a furlough day for teachers.

It's a great opportunity to see the season debut of Los Angeles Dorsey quarterback Joseph Gray, who should come out throwing en masse for his team's opener on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at North Hollywood.

Sun Valley is scheduled to play its first-ever football game at Manual Arts at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

Here's the zero week schedule.

Hey Zeus

Eric - the Manual Arts/Sun Valley game is at 1pm, not 3pm. FYI.

The Gipper

How sad is the city section? Who plays a varsity football game on a Wednesday night? That's just un-American.
