The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles is conducting an investigation into the alleged hazing incident involving St. Paul football players on Aug. 14, and based on comments from archdiocese media spokesman Tod Tamberg to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, somebody at St. Paul is going to take a hit.

The varsity football coaching staff was put on leave pending outcome of the inquiry, and this apparently isn’t the first alleged hazing incident at St. Paul.

‘The football program was put on notice last year and it happened again this year,’ Tamberg told the paper. ‘It needs to be dealt with.’

The Archdiocese knows all about hazing. Mission Hills Alemany’s volleyball program got into trouble in 2008 with a hazing incident.
