Baseball: Shane Zeile commits to UCLA

Shane Zeile of Valencia, the second-leading hitter in the Valley Invitational Baseball League this past summer with a .529 average, has committed to UCLA, Coach Jared Snyder said Monday.

Zeile is a pitcher-infielder. His father, Mike, was a standout baseball player at Newhall Hart, and his uncle, Todd, played at Hart, UCLA and in the major leagues.
