Play has resumed in the International Baseball Federation Women’s World Cup in Venezuela after a freak accident over the weekend in which a stray bullet struck a Chinese player in the leg.

According to Gary Sementelli, whose daughter Marti pitches for the United States, the U.S. team was in lockdown at its hotel after Saturday’s games were suspended in the wake of the incident. Security has been increased and the games have been moved from Caracas to Maracay.
