Baseball: Jesus Valdez enrolls at junior college

Jesus Valdez, a pitcher from Hueneme who was drafted in the fifth round by the Angels but didn’t sign, has enrolled at Oxnard College instead of Arizona.

By attending junior college instead of Arizona, Valdez will be eligible for the 2011 amateur draft.
