Baseball: Call them the 'Valley Brewers'

The Milwaukee Brewers continue to acquire ex-players from the San Fernando Valley. The latest is former Sherman Oaks Notre Dame outfielder Chris Dickerson.

He'll have no trouble finding somebody to work out with in the off season, considering also on the Brewers are ex-Granada Hills players Kameron Loe and Ryan Braun and former Woodland Hills El Camino Real pitcher Randy Wolf. And the Brewers' first-round draft pick was Dylan Covey from Pasadena Maranatha.

The owner of the Brewers, Mark Attanasio, is a Los Angeles resident whose son graduated from North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake.
