Two surprise teams, La Habra and Corona Centennial, earned spots in the championship game of the Huntington Beach Edison seven-on-seven passing tournament Saturday.

La Habra started the day with an overtime win over Santa Ana Mater Dei and later knocked off Westlake Village Oaks Christian in the championship playoffs behind Washington State-bound quarterback Cody Clements.

Centennial pulled off the biggest upset of the day in defeating Westlake Village Westlake in the playoffs. Westlake hadn’t lost all day.

Quarterback Michael Eubank was leading the offense. It was a big effort by the Huskies, who haven’t been an impressive seven-on-seven team in past years at Edison. More athleticism on defense has helped.

Los Alamitos and Valencia also reached the semifinals.

UPDATE: La Habra won the tournament championship, 25-24.
