Los Angeles Dorsey has quietly had a productive summer in passing tournaments, finishing off on Saturday with a championship in the East L.A. tournament. The Dons knocked off Garfield in the final.

Quarterback Joseph Gray, who passed for nearly 2,000 yards last season, continues to make improvement, along with his quality group of receivers.

Garfield is excited about the development of receiver Steven De La Torre, who performed well. Garfield defeated fellow Eastern League member L.A. Jordan in the semifinals.

In the Agoura tournament, Westlake Village Westlake won the championship, beating Camarillo in the final. Backup quarterback Justin Moore filled in for starter Nick Isham.
