Baseball: Playa del Rey Dirtybirds advance in Legion play

The Playa del Rey Dirtybirds, made up of players and ex-players from Westchester, Crenshaw and Hamilton, have advanced to the American Legion state playoffs in Yountville after defeated Culver City, 19-2, on Saturday.

Danny Skahill pitched a six-hitter, Kenji Corbisiero had three hits and Robert Gsellman hit his third home run of the playoffs.
