Baseball: Matt Dominguez is MVP of Double-A All-Star Game

Former Chatsworth High third baseman Matt Dominguez earned MVP honors Monday night in the double-A Southern League All-Star game in Huntsville, Ala., hitting two home runs and a single in four at-bats.

Dominguez, 20, is a member of the Florida Marlins organization. He was part of the Marlins’ draft in 2007 that included Mike Stanton from Sherman Oaks Notre Dame. Dominguez was taken No. 12 overall.
