Jessica Hall won the Gatorade state player of the year award on Wednesday, a day after UCLA--where she’s headed in the fall--clinched its 12th National Championship.

Talk about having a good week.

When the Ayala High senior found out she’ll be representing a defending champion next season, she was beyond thrilled. She didn’t say she’d head to Disneyland, though, because she was already there.

‘I knew right away when they won,’ Hall said. ‘I was at Disneyland on my senior trip. I have all of the games recorded. I can’t wait to learn from them.’

As for her big award?

‘There was not much more I could’ve done to prove myself,’ Hall said. ‘It’s a big accomplishment and a great way to end my senior year.’
