Calling all top defensive backs. Where are you?

Maybe we were spoiled last season, with Dietrich Riley, Anthony Jefferson and Dion Bailey, among others, but it’s clear after watching a couple weeks of summer seven-on-seven passing competitions, there is no consensus top defensive back.

Yes, De’Anthony Thomas from Los Angeles Crenshaw is good, but he’s a running back who helps out on defense.

It’s going to be interesting if USC or UCLA can find a defensive back in Southern California this season good enough to offer a scholarship.

But the good news is that if someone can develop, there’s the opportunity to rise to the top as a defensive back.
