There’s going to be a college program that falls in love with West Hills Chaminade 6-foot-11 Gilles Dierickx, because his skills and abilities keep getting better.

He had 25 points Sunday in the Eagles’ overtime win over Santa Monica in the Crespi tournament. He’s up to 208 pounds and getting stronger.

By the time the season begins, he’ll be ready to be a force blocking shots. He still has lots of improvement to make but considering he came from Belgium last year weighing 170 pounds and not knowing what crashing the boards meant, he’s made excellent progress.
