Woodland Hills Taft will face Compton Saturday at 7 p.m. at Compton High in the championship game of the Compton tournament.

It’s going to be a revealing week for boys’ basketball. The War on the Floor tournament starts Saturday at Pierce College and Woodland Hills El Camino Real, and the Fairfax tournament begins Monday at Fairfax, with Long Beach Poly and Taft entered.

Compton has been playing very well this summer, thanks to the help of Victor Robbins, a transfer from Carson.

UPDATE: Taft decided to cancel playing in the final because it had two games Saturday in the War on the Floor tournament and had been playing too many games in the past week, according to Coach Derrick Taylor.
