Softball: Granada Hills Kennedy and Chatsworth will meet in City Section final

The two top-seeded City Section softball teams were upset on Friday in semifinal games.

Second-seeded San Pedro, which was going for its fifth consecutive City Section title, fell to Granada Hills Kennedy, 3-1, in eight innings. Christian Carbajal held San Pedro to to four hits with six strikeouts and four walks.

In the other semifinal, top-seeded Carson let a two run lead slip away in the seventh in a 5-4 loss to Chatsworth.

The championship game between Kennedy (23-6) and Chatsworth (25-5) will be on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at Cal State Northridge.
