Protests filed for two Southern Section playoff games

The Southern Section is investigating two playoff games after protests were filed alleging illegal batting practice involving the baseball game between West Covina South Hills and Montebello and the softball game between Fullerton Rosary and Corona Santiago, Southern Section spokesman Thom Simmons said.

UPDATE: Corona Santiago has not filed a protest and will not be filing a protest, Simmons said. Also, Garden Grove has filed an official protest involving its baseball game against Culver City.
