Football: Quarterback gets to hang out with Hall of Famer

As part of the NFL-approved Legacy Leadership Project, junior quarterback Victor Silva from Santa Ana Godinez High has been selected to be mentored by a Hall of Fame football player over the next year.

The school was scheduled to hold an assembly Thursday to announce Silva's participation. Another Orange County football player will be selected next week.

Hall of Famers Ron Yary and Michael Haynes will be doing the mentoring. The players get to participate in Hall of Fame ceremonies this summer in Canton, Ohio.
