Football: Alemany lineman is red-hot college recruit

Mission Hills Alemany lineman Akeem Gonzales keeps picking up scholarship offers faster than he can put the coach's name in his cell phone.

So far, he has offers from Washington, Oregon State, Washington State, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, UNLV, Colorado State and Fresno State. And UCLA recruiters are supposed to come by next week.

He's a 6-foot-4, 240-pound senior-to-be offensive and defensive lineman who Coach Dean Herrington believes one day is going to be 6-6, 280 pounds. He's a three-time league wrestling champion.
