Konnor Armijo hit a three-run home run and freshman Jeremy Martinez had three hits as Santa Ana Mater Dei defeated Bellflower St. John Bosco, 14-4, on Monday to move within one victory of winning at least a share of the Trinity League title.

The Monarchs (15-9, 11-3) will finish in first with a victory on Wednesday against St. John Bosco. They are tied for first with Orange Lutheran (20-5, 11-3), which defeated Santa Margarita, 6-3. But Mater Dei owns two wins in three games over Orange Lutheran, giving the Monarchs the tiebreaker edge for playoff seeding purposes.
