Baseball: Mater Dei falls to St. John Bosco

Santa Ana Mater Dei was beaten by Bellflower St. John Bosco, 7-6, Wednesday night in a Trinity League game.

The Monarchs were tied for first place with Orange Lutheran, which won the league title by pulling out 5-4, eight-inning win over Santa Margarita.

St. John Bosco rallied in the sixth with a two-run home run from Shane Monreal. The Braves loaded the bases in the seventh and tied it on an RBI single from Ryan Strachan and got the winning run on a sacrifice fly by Kyle Peralta. Manny De La Rosa also had a two-run home run for St. John Bosco.San Juan Capistrano JSerra took third place with a 14-8 victory over Anaheim Servite.
