Playing flawless defense and relying on the pitching of sophomore Carlos Garcia, Los Angeles Fremont knocked off Crenshaw, 4-3, Monday to clinch at least a share of the Coliseum League championship.

The Pathfinders (16-9, 9-2) have beaten Crenshaw (8-3, 8-2) twice, so even if they share the league title, they will enter the City Section Division II playoffs as the top seed from the league.

Fremont rallied from a 3-0 deficit with three runs in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Robby Buenfil and a two-run single by Garcia. Ricardo Chagollan broke the 3-3 tie when he scored on a wild pitch in the sixth.

Geoffrey Norwood hit an RBI triple for Crenshaw and Evan Santa Cruz hit an inside-the-park home run.
