It’s 9 a.m., there’s not a cloud in the sky and Dodger Stadium looks picture perfect for Saturday’s City Section baseball championship games.

First up is Westchester taking on Venice at 10 a.m. for the Division II final, then Woodland Hills El Camino Real meeting San Pedro at 1 p.m. for the Division I final.

Say what you want about the City Section, but since 1969, every City baseball final has been played at Dodger Stadium, which is the greatest reward a kid growing up in Los Angeles can get who loves baseball.

Southern Section finalist teams get to play their championship game in Lake Elsinore next weekend.

So there were lots of photos being taken, and it should be fun day of baseball. I’ll be blogging from both games. I just have to make sure I don’t eat too many Dodger Dogs before the day is complete.
